I'm completely new to overclocking. So far in bios (did not use software) i bumped up my processor to x18 multiplier and raised the voltage to 1.3250 V. This appears to be stable. Ran Prime95 for about 30 minutes and my core temps were stable around 50-53C

Is there anything else i should change or look into changing to possibly push more power out of my CPU or will those small changes alone successfully push enough power out of my CPU to make a difference?

With the computer i built being 4 years old i thought i could use a bit of a bump.

Other specs:

Ram: 8GB DDR3-1600 G Skill
Motherboard: Biostar ta890gxe
CPU cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO with two enermax fans in push pull setup
PSU: Corsair 750w
GPU: XFX Radeon 5770

Its the 125w version.

I got a new stable clock and ran Prime95 for about 10 hours with no errors or crash at:

FSB: 200
Core: x18 3600mhz
Core voltage: 1.3250
Northbridge voltage: 1.125
northbridge frequency 2400Mhz

I want to try and push the cpu to x19 3800mhz but so far when i do that i think the northbridge voltage jumps up to higher then 1.2v and i hear thats bad for the northbridge. Im not sure what else i can do or what other things i can tweak so im open to anything

It can go only if idle temp is below 50c now

Prime95 temps were 50-53C. Idle temps not maxing out the CPU with prime95 are around 42C

And if i pump the cpu to 3.8 and the northbridge voltage jumps up would lowering the northbridge frequency bring the northbridge voltage back down?

Good , go on to 3.8 but no more
