Hi,

I am going to get a 27inch 1080p moniter soon. I understand the differences between both TN and IPS panel but i dont know which to get. Most IPS moniters in my range have a 5ms response time, while the TN have 2ms, will i even notice a difference?

this is for gaming of course.

More about : ips displays

You would be very hard pressed to notice the difference in response time. I game regularly on a 30 inch IPS panel with a 7ms response time, it's glorious.

Ghosting has not been a problem for quite some time.

The only game I'd rather have TN on is cs go comp.

I'm not saying the panel your using makes you good or bad, im just saying that 1ms GTG and 144hz can make it easier to play. But you do have to give up how good the colors are. But to get back to Daconstaz question, the difference between 5ms and 2 or 1ms is very minimal to almost no difference.
