With the end of my high school and soon the start if college I plan to buy my own Gaming laptop for work and play.My price range is below $1500

What I am looking for is
-Long battery life (high Choice)
-Good graphics/Screen display,wide screen
-won't have probs on Wifi
-back lit keyboards
-A good design (I don't mind if it looks plain and simple I just want it to look pleasing to the eye unlike some laptops.)
-Not alienware I am not into alienware and it isn't available in my region.

From browsing the net I see Asus ROG 750Jx ,MSI and Lenevo y50 to be in my options though I don't like MSI design.Though the Asus rog is a bit higher than $1500 I don't mind but above $1600 is not for me.Also if there is a lenevo Laptop better that match my preference I am willing to hear it as LENEVO Laptops have good maintenance deals here. The reason why I want a laptop is because I hardly sit in one place and tend to move from rooms and sometimes houses.

I usually work on programs like Sony vegas,CAD,Auto CAD and MS Office.
I mostly play World of warcraft and some old retro games like WORMS.

Well I just started typing about the MSI and Asus laptops, then I read your post over again and realized I stopped reading after "-A good design" lol.

A lot of people here are not big fans of alienware laptops, as they are now owned by dell. But this is something you might consider, and here's why. A lot of colleges and corporations use dells because they're a great cheap alternative over companies like Lenovo, who have a premium product with a premium pricetag. I know through most colleges, because they buy so many, you can also take advantage of these deals. Through the place that I used to work, plus my little community college down the street, I could have gotten 45% off just about all dell/alienware PCs/accessories (INCLUDING the...

Through the place that I used to work, plus my little community college down the street, I could have gotten 45% off just about all dell/alienware PCs/accessories (INCLUDING the accident plans). I ended up building my own desktop since I couldn't justify paying that much for a laptop if I was going to be working from home anyway.

Anyhow, Alienware makes some solid laptops and they are certainly beautiful. I will add that my brother has a 14" Alienware because he wanted something strong to take with him on deployments in the army. He had to return it twice, once was his fault, he dropped it and the screen busted, and a second time because his battery stopped taking charge. After a couple years, he still has it and it still plays at solid reliable frames, and his new battery lasts up to 6 hours and he's got a 765M and he can play just about anything maxed out. He loves it, and he never stops talking about how cool his backlit keys and trackpad are.

You'd probably be more into the 17" Widescreen series.
