Hello,

Since 1 month I am getting random blue screens (BSOD 116). It are always the same 3 drivers that are giving me problems but I just can't get rid of it. I am getting desperate and I am hoping someone here will be able to help me locate the problem. When I use a bluescreenviewer, these are the 3 files that always give me problems.

-dxgkrnl.sys
-dxgmms1.sys
-nvlddmkm.sys

My rig is about six months old. I didn't have the problem in the past. I think it started after updating my Gfx driver but I am not 100% sure.

my specs:

- Asrock X79 extreme6
-16 gb DIMM DDR3 (G.Skill F3-1600C11-4GNS)
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 780ti
-256GB SSD drive
-PSU: Energon Eps-750W gaming power supply

Its running on Win7/64

Greetings, Dennis

This thread may offer some ideas:

I would first start with a clean sweep of the current driver and reinstall the previous driver.

Thanks for your quick answer... I had read some of the same threads with the BSOD 116 error. I have follow instructions from there in the passed week but I couldnt find a fix. But you might have done it for me!!

I did the same I did before but now I have used the Display Driver Uninstaller from Safe mode and that might have fixed it. The problem I had before was that my pc automaticaly installed a nvidia driver after installing the generic VGA driver. So what I did was , uninstall using the tool in safe mode. Then reset. Then installed the latest driver (340.52) . So far I havn't had a blue screen playing Wildstar so far. I should have allready. Please don't mark this a solved yet please. I am going to keep testing my rig whith that game and other stuff. If I am BSOD free for a couple of days, I'll let it know on the forum.

Thanks again for the quick reply (and link to the solution)

greetings Dennis

But then again the same horrible blue screen (BSOD116) one day later. I really thought this was over... Didnt have such a long period without the Bsod before. I havn't installed anything extra that day.

I gonna have to look at it in a day or 3 because I'm going on a trip. To be continued.. :(
