Hi guys,

A couple of months ago I decided to upgrade my motherboard, gpu, cpu etc and decided that instead of using the stock cooler that came with my AMD 8350, I would use a ''titan super quiet 22dba cooler''. Logical decision as the included one is like a screaming donkey.
This 'Titan' is a terrible cooler and is really loud, measuring at 66db at 53 degrees when playing Civ 5. You can imagine how loud it becomes when playing more intense games like the ludicrously cpu intensive Watch Dogs!

Anyway, my case is this : http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/pc-images/1866/ and I know, it's not that good and I'm pretty sure I went overkill on it but I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good, solid, quiet alternative cpu cooler that would fit in this case. The cabling is quite tidy and I've replaced the rear fan with a Noctua.

These are the dimensions:
406mm x 180mm x 460mm
(Approx H x W x D)

I'm heavily leaning towards the Noctua NH-D14 but I'm slightly worried that it won't fit due to motherboard clearance (asus M5a97 evo r 2.0) I am open to getting a new case but I'd rather not if I can fit a decent, quiet cooler inside of this one.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your response.

It doesn't give you specs. You should ask the supplier what height cpu coler it will take. My guess is less than 150mm - being only 180 wide.

You should try a Noctua low profile cooler eg Noctua NH-L12 Low Profile CPU Cooler - 93mm high

Ah thanks for the response, do you think that will fit well with the PSU above it?
