Hello everybody,my brother bought a DVD named as "vocab solution",it is in CDFS format and is write protected ,I was able to copy the WMV files in the dvd using ISO buster ,but the files can not be played on any player , including vlc player which i believe can play all the files in the world.I am using windows xp. While copying the file there were few errors saying that the content can not be copied because the dvd is write protected, but i was able to copy the dvd after skipping those errors. But the wmv file wont play..PLEASE HELP

It sounds like you are trying to copy the files from a video DVD with content protection. At least in the US where this forum is based, that's piracy.

I'm open to an explanation as to why I am wrong, but without that you won't get a solution on this forum.

WyomingKnott , I am copying it for personal use and not for any redistribution , Its boring to always play the DVD using dvd player, now do you see my point, Its piracy in my country too, but i want it for personal use only,Is there anyone who can really help and not talk about ethics and piracy..

It doesn't matter the reason. Piracy is piracy and discussions that stray into that realm are not allowed here.
