Intel to AMD

Solution

No there is bit mobo that goes for two different CPU brands.

Intel is an LGA xxxx and AMD is an AMx+. Or something on that lines. ;)

But an AMD is great for games like I said if it is not for editing or rendering and for a cheaper price than Intel. :)
If you are on a tight budget and not planning to have good overclock or do photo/video editing. Then AMD is a sensible choice. But if you will be doing those stuff I mentioned before, the get an Intel.

Between the two, Intel is more expensive but AMD is cheaper. Both are pretty similar on quality. But Intel is mostly used if you can fork out the extra money.

So if you want to go with an AMD go for it I am not in your way. :)

Don't forget with the mobo.

No, there are no motherboards like that.no it's not, they lied. Intel is better for almost everything

DAMN, then my professor is a liar :O :D. Well if I will go switch my proc to amd then it will cost me bigger since i need a new motherboard, then i guess i am sticking with intel xD

Don't mind picking a solution.

Pay attention to motherboard sockets and no one can lie to you. Intel most recently uses socket LGA 1150 (as well as LGA 1155, 1156 and 2011 over the past 4 years). AMD uses either socket AM3+ or FM2. An Intel processor will not even physically fit in an AMD socket, and vice versa. The motherboard's socket has to match the processor's socket.
