Hi community !

I've recently been saving to buy a new Gaming PC for when I go back to University - These are the specs so far:

NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi Case
Intel Core i7-4790 3.60GHz (Haswell) socket LGA1150
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Intel Z97(Socket 1150) DDR2 ATX Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-15000C9 1866MHz Dual Channel
MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming Edition 4096MB GDDR5
Kingston HyperX 3k SSD 240GB 2.5" SATA 6GB/s
Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM 1TM SATA

Still need to do all of the cooling options and power - But what do you guys think so far? Will it be able to play a lot of games on Ultra settings with more than 50+ FPS ?

Thanks!

Solution
Yes,you will be able to play every game on high-ultra at 60+ FPS.
However,if you do only gaming, then you do not the i7.
i7s only advantage over the i5s is hyperthreading, which means is reads double the amount of cores. It's useful when video editing, recording etc, while the FPS won't change a lot. (maybe 5 FPS more than an i5)
Everything else is great, but I would suggest you to get an i5 4690(K if you want to overclock) IF you do not do video editing, recording, live streaming etc.If you do however, then an i7 4790 is an excellent choice.
Hope this helps. :)

Awesome thanks mate ! I'll take this into account when I finally go buy the PC :) Might be able to the cheaper i5 and maybe spend a bit more on some other components!
