Hi.
I've just recently put together a PC for my use in programming, and slight gaming. I've had some issues with this motherboard, if I can even tell it's the motherboard. When going into Task Manager, often times the two most cpu-consuming processes are only like, 40% and 10%, which adds up to 50%, or maybe 52% because of the 1%s and the 0.2%s. But, my CPU constantly shows 100%, for some reason. After terminating some unknown processes, it fixes the issue to about 30%, but that's like with no applications running at all. But that's not all.
I have a NVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti, physically. My computer doesn't really recognize it. After downloading NVidia Experience, I simply downloaded the recommended drivers from it. Restart, blah blah blah. I get back on to hope to see the graphics much smoother and OpenGL+DirectX games playable. But they're not. I tested it out on one of my games, and it didn't work. Simply a white screen.
I thought it was an issue with the driver. Experience must've simply specified the incorrect driver. So I went to geforce.com/drivers, and manually-searched for drivers that were for NVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti. (Also, I have a Windows 8 64-bit, soon 8.1. Currently installing 8.1) So, I downloaded the first recommended, WHQL drivers. Restart, blah blah blah. No success. It's not working with DirectX or OpenGL, nor is it smooth. Help would be appreciated.
Specs, incase they're needed:
Graphics Card: NVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4000+
Installed Ram: 4 GB, 4 slots taken
Motherboard: ASUS M2A-VM
(That's all that I think might be needed for this issue.)
