Before my problem began: When I shut down my Windows 8.1 x64 PC, after Windows finally quit, the PC powered off within a few seconds.
Now: When I shut down my PC, after Windows finally quits, it takes 55 seconds for my PC to power off. (Timed it twice.)
It's not a driver issue or a software issue or a Windows issue, because the problem happens /after/ Windows has quit.
I tried replacing my HDMI cable with another HDMI cable - same problem. I tried replacing my HDMI cable with a DVI cable - same problem.
Recently I replaced the stock (OEM) power supply in my PC with a new Corsair power supply. That's the only recent change to my hardware.
Why does it take so long for my PC to power off?
Some additional information that may (or may not) help: When I restart my PC, it takes the same amount of time (55 seconds) for the OEM splash screen to appear, whereas previously the splash screen appeared almost instantly. During these 55 seconds I can see that my monitor is not getting a video signal. After 55 seconds, it gets a video signal and bootup continues.
