Ok, ive read as much as i can, changed as much as i can and redone the test. my brand new ssd still only scores 5.9. AHCI mode is enabled (always was) ive done some of the steps to increase its life like deleting hibernation and getting rid of indexing etc.. still no improvement.
also earlier i went to do an ssd test, unfortunately a german version even though the langauge was set to english, i never finished the test because the initial resutls for some of the sections were frankly.. terrible... for example around 50mbps for read and 2mbps for write.. i stopped the test because for the 4k section it estimated could take an hour and a half and i didnt have that time to waste.
anyone know anything? considering in my opinion the SSD is very fast, pc boots up and gets me logged in at 18 seconds (no password)
ive been told 5.9 is a score that you expect from a HDD and should get 7.0+ from SSD
Its a Kingston V300 120GB SSD, brand new as my entire pc is a custom built new rig. no additional storage just the SSD. I also only have 3.0 sata (to my knowledge) and unless ive been sold dodgy cables i cant imagine anything else?
incase someone asks, mobo is gigabyte G1 sniper a88x
