I purchased an airtel DTH HD+ box with recording feature. i just recorded a show and when i plug the pen drive in my laptop.. it has got a 3GB file that is probably the recorded stuff and in the str format. Well the format is not the issue since i have got the converter but the point is that when i copy or delete the file,,,, it says you need permission to perform this action.

Please Help

That file is encrypted, and only the set top box can decrypt it, if you get a capture card, and play the file on the box, you can get the video.

EDIT: you can also try ProjectX, you may have some luck exporting the files as a different format.
