Well, first I would suggest to throw out that PSU and getting something decent.

Then a decent GPU like a 760 or a 270x

Then a small SSD for you OS.

What is your mobo and exact i3 model? 2/3/4 gen?

for a mid range system I will suggest a Seasonic S12II 520W or a XFX 550W PSU.

It gives enough headroom to install a 760 or even a 280X. And if you decide to get a new build later, you can use that PSU.

when it comes to installing the hardware is it just plugging it in?

Yes. Just remove the old PSU and install the new one, and connect the power connectors. Same with GPU.

you did not give the model no of your CM case, but I assume it can accommodate a mid size GPU and a standard PSU.

Okey thank you so much for the help.

i have 1 last question.

the internet store im buying stuff from sells CM, Corsairs, silver power, XFX and some others.

anyway im guessing that my CM cabinet can take the CM PSU but can it take any of the other brands? if so, does it depend on the model and size?

like this one https://www.komplett.no/cooler-master-g650m-650w-psu/79...

Is this something that would work ?

Actually your case will take any standard ATX PSU. No worry :)

Cooler Master G is a good PSU, but this is cheaper and it is Seasonic made.
