i ordered this PSU: http://www.sentey.com/en/scp750-hm because my current psu:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339009&cm_re=HEC_585-_-17-339-009-_-Product cant handle running my Phenom II x4 B50 and my Radeon HD 7950 within about 30 minutes of gaming it just shuts off pc, so i was thinking it was the psu, and am wondering if you think that is the problem and if the new 1 i ordered will suffice, thanks in advance

Solution

I think your new PSU if you have already ordered it then it will handle it :) No need to worry.

Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3g dual-x w boost

Btw, I remember some older servers we had in our company's datacenter had Sentey PSU's, and they were good. So I would say they make good PSU's because I haven't seen anything negative for them.

A proper 750 PSU can run two of your systems :)

yea, i didnt see any bad reviews anywhere from the sentey and im sure they just dont slap 80 plus certifications on any psu and i think a 350 watt 80 plus psu is better than my current 1 LOL

Actually, in the market there are too many psu's with fake power rating and false certification claims. That is why I am conservative while recommending PSU's I just saw a johnnyguru review, where the sentey psu is made by superflower.

I would say you made a very good choice :).

yea i will let you guys know how it runs when i get my new psu!! THANKS AGAIN :)

UPDATE: I got the sentey psu and it is working beautiful, and i read that ppl say psu does not/will not increase performance but IT DID!!!! :D im assuming the performance increase is because my old pos power supply was barely keeping my gpu awake, but this one is making my gpu feel like its at the buffet!!!!!
