I recently finished my first build which cost right around 1500. I have a r9 270x radeon video card which im almost positive should be able to run most if not every game but nothing seems to load. every time i go to open a game on steam it just flashes then closes right away. the same thing occurred when i tried to launch league of legends.

Now here me out this is my fist build so i definitely don't know everything. could this problem be occurring because i need to download something else offline? i am beyond frustrated any help would be appreciated thankyou.

I am also running on windows 7 64 if that helps at all.

I honestly do not like websites like that.

Have you got the drivers from the AMD website?

If you have not, link is below. Start there.

Have you downloaded the AMD drivers for your card? You can download CCC (catalysis control center) from the AMD driver section on their page.

If you have the most current drivers I would remove the GPU and reseat it. Make sure its all the way in the PCI slot. Make sure you have the correct power pins hooked to the GPU.

Let us know :)

1) Update your motherboard BIOS

2) Run MEMTEST www.memtest.org

3) Run Prime95 or similar CPU test

4) Drivers (if you haven't):
a) Main motherboard chipset (motherboard site)
b) Audio (motherboard site likely)
c) AMD drivers (direct from AMD)
d) others?

5) Microsoft Updates (make sure autoupdate enabled and all updates complete)

6) GAME:
Test a non-steam game such as a Torchlight Demo (not through Steam).

I'm sure he did see the list. My question is, why is update bios #1?

To me bios is close to the bottom... And the problems that he was seeing should not be a bios problem.
