8GB or 16GB ram?

That is my build. It will be used for some gaming and video editing. My last computer was an Alienware and it only had 8 gb of ram. It ran fine for what I was doing with it until I spilt a drink on my keyboard... I was going to go with 16 GB of ram but it might be a little to expensive for me. If it helps, I am trying to decide between either G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) or Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB). If you have any suggestions please let me know.

They don't offer any real advantage in gaming however they will on the video editing sides of things . Its really dependent on the level of video editing though , if its very intense then 16 gb will be preferable but if its average then 8gbs will be more than enough . For gaming 8Gb is more than enough
