hello im building a editing pc for less than 800 us dollars. i would like a fully modular powersupply, the node 804 and 16 gigabytes of ram.
thank you

Solution
Since you're getting an external gpu, get the xeon... It's the same speed as the i7 anyways... It'll reduce the overall cost of the build.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($247.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($75.66 @ Newegg)

I couldn't get a fully modular PSU in this budget however this will serve you well on the editing side and can handle light gaming at 1080p PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3rJtLk

thx for your build but i really dont need a graphics card because i already have a $1400 gaming pc

You just put it there for some GPU rendering , it will be beneficial.

I strongly support what you're trying to do , the XFX PSU 550W will be a good choice.
