I have an Asus M5 A99x MB which for some reason when i put in the second exact graphics card and apply power to it it doesnt want to power up. I have a 1000W power suplly so I'm sure I have enough power for the system. After it fails to start I have to unplug the power from the second card and reset the cmos and then it will fire back up. I thaught it maybe the card so I swapped out the first card with the second one I was going to use and it turns on good so I know both cards still work. I have since updated my BIOS but not sure what that wouldve fixxed. It wont even post with the second card powered up. I can have the second card in and hooked up sli but no power and it will power up but when i shut it down and then hook powe upto it and try to power it up it starts the fans for a split second then dies again. I can then unplug the power from the second card reset cmos and boom it powers up fine. Any ideas??? Maybe the MB is bad from factory.
