More about good build
  1. Yep, that will be good for all your needs.

Though, I'd go with a newer and better intel i5 and a Z97 motherboard, that way you get better technologies and future broadwell support.
  2. You should go intel at this price point , but its indeed a great build that will satisfy your needs :)
However for 1080p you won't need the 290X , the 290 will be more than sufficient.
  3. @TechyInAZ which motherboard and cpu would you recommend for the same pricetag?
  4. @TopLuca Why intel? Amd is fine isint it?
  5. Yes, 60_80 fps on 1080p 60fps on 1440p and roughly 35fps on 4k

Intel I5-4690 and H97 pro 4 from AsRock since you won't be overclocking !
  7. If you're going to overclock, get a different motherboard, and throw in an aftermarket cooler at some point.

    Otherwise, it looks pretty good.

You'll require a K version of this processor and a Z97 motherboard which will be more expensive.
  11. If you want an overclocking intel build, sacrifice on the GPU. Get a r9 280x or gtx 770, it'll still play bf4 well on ultra. Then spend the extra money getting the i5 4690k and z97 motherboard to overclock. With the budget mitigated, you might be able to go with an ASRock z97 extreme3 motherboard at least. It'll give you a decent amount of overclocking room.

You can't futureproof a pc. By the time you upgrade your pc, new parts will be in and make you buy a complete new rig.
  13. You can futureproof, easily, just know the Doc. And buy a delorean

  18. Cooler Master B700
  19. Should be okay , can you not get one from evga, xfx or seasonic?
  20. Are those better or less loud?
  21. Better reputation, more reliable and more quiet
  22. Is a cpu cooler requiered?
  23. for you, yes. get a coolermaster hyper evo 212

Thank you very much, that will be all (till I think of something else)
  25. np :)
  26. Personally, i hate the look of the evo 212...so clunky. Purely aesthetic based opinion though.
