Is this a good build to play for example BF4 at 60+fps, 1080p max settings?
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition (@4.0ghz)
ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0
MSI Radeon R9 290X
Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
Sharkoon T28
Cooler Master B700
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14, 2 TB

More about : good build

Yep, that will be good for all your needs.

Though, I'd go with a newer and better intel i5 and a Z97 motherboard, that way you get better technologies and future broadwell support.

You should go intel at this price point , but its indeed a great build that will satisfy your needs :)
However for 1080p you won't need the 290X , the 290 will be more than sufficient.

Intel I5-4690 and H97 pro 4 from AsRock since you won't be overclocking !

If you're going to overclock, get a different motherboard, and throw in an aftermarket cooler at some point.

Otherwise, it looks pretty good.

You'll require a K version of this processor and a Z97 motherboard which will be more expensive.

If you want an overclocking intel build, sacrifice on the GPU. Get a r9 280x or gtx 770, it'll still play bf4 well on ultra. Then spend the extra money getting the i5 4690k and z97 motherboard to overclock. With the budget mitigated, you might be able to go with an ASRock z97 extreme3 motherboard at least. It'll give you a decent amount of overclocking room.

You can't futureproof a pc. By the time you upgrade your pc, new parts will be in and make you buy a complete new rig.

Personally, i hate the look of the evo 212...so clunky. Purely aesthetic based opinion though.
