Is there a day to buy PC parts cheap?

Yes, the apocalypse, when aliens attack us, when a ship full of pc components gets boarded by somali pirates, armageddon, or black friday, online syores have good sales during that and also for gpus, when the 800 series are released the 700 series will becomr cheaper

There are usually daily/weekly sales at most online stores, you have to track the price of a part you want to see if it goes down.
you can use www.pcpartpicker.com for this, and setup price alerts for various things.
But they rarely go more than maybe 20-30 dollars cheaper.

There are both Black Friday and Cyber Monday (the monday after black friday) sales at online stores that may or may not actually be cheaper. a lot of the time the prices slowly rise in the months before these big sales so when they're 30-50% off it's because they increased the price of the item by 30-50% over a period of time.

LOL, yep also when AI thinks for itself then everything will be cheap because nobody wants a computer that can think for itself.

Yeah, but those deals are only for instore pickup so you have to live near a microcenter.

Unfortunately I don't.

I DO live near a newegg warehouse though, so "free shipping" is actually like 1-day shipping for me.

Yes, usually the day after you buy something.

Newegg has specials about every other week on certain things .....

MSI 780 Ti has been $600 almost very other week for 12+ weeks / the 780 $440 - $450

Corsair 500R seems to alternate deals with the white version one week and the black the next.... I have seen them run anywhere from $69 to $109.

Black Friday serves well to put outta date or soon to be eclipsed stuff on sale though there's always some special deals and even across the board discounts to get ya interested in the XMas shopping season.

I was in a fight with myself for a long time over whether to get 4150 and having to get a haswell refresh mobo or going with the 4130 and getting a cheaper one, but the 4150s were SLIGHTLY cheaper than the 4130s -_-
