Hello. Recently I pulled an old Promise 150 Sata card out of an old machine I had because I needed more SATA ports. When I plugged it into to my computer it seemed to be fine as it was producing heat but when I booted into Windows 7 the card was not recognized by my computer which is running Windows 7 Professional 32 bit at the moment. I was wondering if making an XP dual boot on another HDD would fix the problem (considering the computer I pulled it from was probally running Windows 98 or XP) or if the SATA card is just completely dead. Any suggestions?

Hmm.... on this main part of the card it says "PROMISE TECHNOLOGY INC. PDC20378 SATA 150" I would assume the PDC20378 would be the model number. Also even if there is no driver support shouldn't there be a message on windows 7 or something in device manager about a unidentified device. If so there was not a message like that which makes me suspicious that the card isn't working correctly.
