Recently replaced my GPU and CPU and ever since have been getting random BSoD's. The other day I downloaded BlueScreenView so i could actually look at the errors occuring at the time of crashing. All of my crashes happen when I'm watching YouTube videos, mostly 1080p. I've never had a crash when the system is actually under load (Gaming). I RMA'd the first GPU and am still having the issue, so I need some help. The 'Filename' that BlueScreenView shows is the issue is "atikmdag.sys".

Does anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?

GPU: ASUS Radeon R9 290 DirectCU II
CPU: FX-8350

It's not the CPU, because I switched out the R9 290 while it was being returned and never had an issue.

I would definitely try to clean install your video driver if you haven't. Download DDU (display driver uninstaller) and CCleaner, restart in safe mode with your internet connection disabled. Uninstall the drivers with DDU after the restart run CCleaner registry tool, then restart again and install the driver once again then it's fine to enable your internet connection. Report back after you've tried that or let us know if you have already tried it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times, when I tried to get DDU running in safe mode it wouldn't work and showed some error. And of course these crashes always occur right before I leave for work. So now I get to spend the rest of the night stressing about my PC. But I will try to run through the steps of fully uninstalling and see if I can get DDU working when I return.

Ok, so I redownloaded DDU and got it working. I uninstalled all my drivers in safe mode, used CCleaner, booted back up and installed the latest driver from the site.

Only issue is I can't replicate the Blue Screens because I don't fully know what causes them. All I know is that they would occur while watching 1080p YouTube videos. But sometimes I'd go hours watching vids with no issue, sometimes a few minutes would crash. So I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
