So I've finally bought all my parts for my first build ever. I bought an extreme amount of fans for my NZXT Phantom 530. A total of 6 fans. 1 because I was able to and 2 because I don't want to touch water cooling on my first build. But my question is, Should I connect my case fans to my MB or would I be better off setting them up on my PSU. Also, I am aware that the Phantom 530 comes with a an awesome fan connector box built on it to connect all the fans, but i'm still curious if its better to connect it to the PSU or MB. Below are the links of what I have. Thanks a ton everyone for the future responses. Looking forward to yours.

I would go with the mobo over the PSU simply for the control aspect. With that many fans (or any amount of fans, IMO), running them all at max off the PSU would get real old, real quick. Without knowing how many of which fans to work out power draws, I can't say for sure that your mobo can handle all of them. Usually headers are rated at 1A/12W. Since you'd need a couple of splitters, you'd want to make sure you don't overload a header.

Otherwise, I'd go with the integrated fan controller over the PSU for the same reason. You just won't have as great a degree of control with the controller as you will with the mobo.
