Installed new mobo/processor now i have a build 9600 watermark

I just installed a new msi z97 motherboard and an i5 4690k cpu and now i have a

"Windows 8.1
build 9600" watermark... wtf is this? i'm using an oem version i bought at bestbuy.

That would be quite a lie being that it's a new Z97 motherboard, and the woods are full of s1155 mobos.

And, you just violated Tom's TOS by promoting software piracy. Congrats, and lookout for the ban hammer.

Check you windows by going to computer properties(right click on computer icon on dekstop ans select properties),
If its showing genuine logo then no need to worry, if not then contact retailer

You might need to purchase windows again since its an OEM copy its tied to the motherboard.
