So in the near future (around december) i am gonna be upgrading my computer i plan on going SLI, although i dont know if i want to get another 770 or get 2 708s. I need a bigger case. right now i have a medium tower,. Is it worth getting an i7? or keep my current i5-4670k? Also i am thinking of overclocking in which case i will need a good aftermarket cpu cooler, or should i get water cooling/closed circuit water cooling?

You can SLI in a medium tower without problems. Stick with the i5, there is little to no advantage to the i7 as most games don't take advantage of hyperthreading. Some people even claim the i5 works better.

If you just want to do mild-mid OC get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, if you want to really push it get the Noctua NH-D14/15 or the Corsair H100i. Which one you get is down to personal preference, they perform pretty similar.

Nvidea should be coming out with new cards soon. Might be worth seeing what they come out with. There should be some price drops on current cards at least. Also if you can get away with a single card system you're not going to have to worry about SLI compatibility issues.
