Should I get a Macbook?

I want to get a Macbook because I want to make games for IOS. I want to make apps because I like to program and want to branch out into games (just for fun). I need a mac because you can only submit apps with one and no one I know has one. I also want to make YouTube videos of Clash of Clans (using AirServer) but the computer I have now can't record it. Should I get this or a hackintosh? I was looking at the 15" MBP (the $2000 version). Is this good?

Based on your purpose and requirements the Apple MacBook Pro MGXA2LL/A 15.4-Inch Laptop with Retina Display would be an ideal option for you.
With :
2.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.4 GHz, 6 MB shared L3 cache)
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L RAM; 256 GB...

Can I buy a better laptop for ~$2000 that still allows me to use OSX? Like can I buy a windows computer and dual boot it with OSX? Or does it only work the other way around?

I don't know if this forum allows talking about Hacked OSX, I am just gonna tell you that you could indeed make use of one, but I haven't had any experiences and you may expect some things not to work (if you're smart you can buy a laptop which all components work well with OSX though).

I don't know how good macs run windows when dual booted and you should make some research about that. If the perfomance is good enough then buying a mac and dual booting windows is the clear winner (100% legal, 100% original, no pesky unsafe software, and windows is compatible with almost anything :p)

If you're focusing on using Swift or xcode, a Macbook Pro would be the best option. Additionally, you should opt for the 15" if you want to process videos or perform CPU/GPU-intensive tasks.

I'm currently developing a mobile game for iOS/Android and we've decided to use third-party providers (Marmalade) to export C++ to both iOS/Android app stores without the need for Microsoft Visual Studio and xcode.

I know that you can use a VM to run windows from a mac and I'm not talking about a hacked OSX. It's just called a hackintosh because it's a machine that runs OSX without having to actually buy a Mac. But back to the VM I've heard it doesn't run very well when you have other programs open. And even when the VM is the only thing open, it takes forever for things to compile and other things run slowly. Is it possible to make a partition on the HDD and use a third for windows and have the rest be for OSX?

So I don't need a Mac to submit my app?
