Hello everyone,
This is my first post on a website like this and I hope I'm doing this correctly...
I was wondering if anyone could review my PC build before i purchase all the parts. Just making sure i didn't miss anything. Also do I need a sound-card?

Thanks,

I picked this from PCPartPicker.

Compatibility Notes
In order to fit, the EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Dual Superclocked ACX Video Card may require removing drive bays from the NZXT Phantom 410 (Red) ATX Mid Tower Case. The case only supports video cards up to 230mm in length without removing drive bays, while the video card is 241mm long.
Some Intel Z87 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Haswell Refresh CPUs.
The G.Skill Trident X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2400 Memory operating voltage of 1.65V exceeds the Intel Haswell Refresh CPU recommended maximum of 1.5V+5% (1.575V). This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum.

You wouldn't need a sound card as the Asus Maximus has an excellent built in one that is great according to some reviews. :)

And the cpu cooler will almost certainly conflict with the RAM heatsinks

Use a Z97 chip set mb

1.5 volt RAM

ditch the arctic silver. Its not even as good as cm's paste with the Hyper 212

IMO use Win 8 . Its faster , easy to add a start button with Classic Shell , has many improvements and can be re-used on 2 more computers [ one at a time ] . 7 is locked to the first mb

Okay so I went back and edited some things, not worried about the case measurements because my friends has the case and said it was an easy fix. How does this look?

When you run it ti will work , definitely .

The case is just removing a hard drive cage so no big deal unless you want lots of hard drives .

Second pic

You will still need to be aware the RAM heatsinks might conflict with the fan on the Hyper 212
You may be able to mount the fan so it blows straight up in to the top fan and that will avoid that problem
