Hey guys, I am in the process of building my first PC and I think I have made a pretty good build.
I recently made a thread and felt great to see people respond with solutions.
All I pretty much play is WoW and have TRIED to choose my parts accordingly.
While i'm still pretty scared about paying all this money for these parts and having no clue how to use them, I think it will be a cool learning experience.
So here are the things I have ordered:
CPU:Intel Core i5-4430 Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.0 GHz 6 MB Cache LGA 1150 - BX80646I54430 ($180 on Amazon)

Cpu Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2) ($40 on Amazon)

Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($145)

Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($80)

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52)

Video card: XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB Double Dissipation Video Card ($304)

Case: Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel ($54)

Power supply: Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($86)

Total is 1150 including a BenQ monitor from Amizon.

I have $1400 Australian and am worried that because Im purchasing from an American website I will be paying much more than 1150.

All I want is a good PC to play WoW and I hope I have picked the right parts.
I would appreciate it immensely if someone responds and tells me if these parts will work together and if it will make a pretty good PC.
Also if someone could clear up the cost problems. I'm only 18 so not too sure about all that lol.

Problems:
1. you're wasting money on a z97 board without buying a K series CPU. Go with a h97 board.
2. don't need that cooler. if you want an aftermarket one that will be quieter than stock, get the tx3, cheaper.
3. the barracuda is less reliable than other hdds. go with the WD Blue.

With the money you'll save between the mobo and cooler, up the CPU. the 280x is a great card at the price right now, can't be beat.

Hey mate thanks for the response. Could you possibly chuck me a link of where I can buy the K thing? Is it cheaper and is it worth it?

Can I remove the cooler alltogether, or will it ruin my computer?
Btw will all these parts work together?

a K series cpu, like the 4670k or 4690k, are much more than the one you have, like $40USD. I wouldn't worry about it in your situation as to properly use them you should overclock, which takes time and requires a good, more expensive cooler. Drop the mobo to a h97 chipset one and save money. Ditch the cooler altogether as you aren't pushing your system. If you feel the stock cooler is too loud you can always replace it later.

As of right now those parts would work, but aren't optimized.

Ah ok mate, I don't really want to overclock as i've read that it doesn't improve it that much and can hurt your system.
Will the h97 still run WoW well? Alright i'll delete the cooler off my cart list.
And do you have any idea how much all that will be in Aus/nz dollar?
Sorry for all the questions, I just wanna get this right.
