Completed my first build and loaded the OS and various drivers. I powered the machine down to hook up my other HDD's and hook up the 2 6 pin power connectors onto my video card - I hadn't been able to find them and was using the onboard graphics. There are 4 more HDD's that I set up, two 1tb's and a couple of old 300gb drives that I was primarily installing to get old data off of. The machine will no longer power on at all. I unhooked all the drives that I added as well as the video card. I checked the cables for proper seating and I tried shorting the contacts with the power button unhooked.

System:
ASRock z97 Pro4
Intel i5 4690k
EVGA supernova 750w bronze semi modular
Saphire Radeon R90 270x
Cooler master evo 212
corsair vengeance 4gb x2
kingston 240 ssd
lg blu ray r/w

Please Help!

There's power, it's running through a UPS. The laptop and external monitor I'm using now are plugged in to it as well. I tried it in another outlet that I knew to be working as well.

Yes, in the other outlet I knew to be working. Sorry, I'm on the east coast and had to hit the hay last night. Before I went to sleep I pulled the battery to reset the CMOS; still no power.

PSU fan spins when shorted out so it seems like it's probably not a problem with the PSU. More and more I'm think something had to have gone wrong with the motherboard.

I just breadboxed the Motherboard. Hooked up with 20 pin and cpu power with one 4gb stick of ram the system posted; so I'm hoping it was a bad connection or short. I'm going to reset the system clock and give it another shot inside the case; I'll post back an update either way.
