My specs are

Windows 7
Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3 Motherboard
Intel i5-2500k Cpu @ 3.3 GHZ
16 gb ram
64 bit OS
GeForce GTX 670 2g
850Watt Power Supply

I'm getting bad frame rates in game which I should be well over 70fps. Any ideas on what might be slowing it or how i can fix it? Also pc power is plugged into power strip with many other plug in it, does that do anything?

In my setup. My computer has its own plug and NOTHING else is plugged into it!
Resolution and detail are killers! The higher the resolution and greater the detail with all the new adages of bloom, artifacts, lighting, etc... These will grind down a processor and video card very quickly!
Just remember that no console will ever beat out a pc on gaming!
Keep crap off the task bar they run in the background and use CPU time!
Other than that, just set your graphics for what is good for you and makes you go WOW!
Happy gaming... JQ

Splendid
What games specifically if you're playing next gen games I would check your CPU and GPU usage I'm willing to bet your cpubis holding you back if you have a decent aftermarket cooler I would suggest overclocking to around 4.0ghz
