a system equipped with

CPU:Intel Core i7-4960X @ 4.2GHz, overclocked version of hexa core intel..
Motherboard:ASRock Fatal1ty X79 Professional
Hard Disk:Samsung SSD 840 EVO (750GB)
Graphic card: various 280x..

the configuration equipped with sapphire overclocked consume 339 watt while gaming..while standart clock 280x (xfx) only consume 290 watt

a system equipped with sapphire 280x overclocked consume 469 watt while graphic card stressed with furmark, while standart clock 280x (xfx) only consume 360 watt

So, your PSU is capable to handle even an overclocked version of 280x...

So, your PSU is capable to handle even an overclocked version of 280x. you have nothing to worry.
