So my desktop has decided to die on me for seemingly no reason. Working fine, left it off all day, come back home and it just doesn't boot. No fans, no BIOS, no hard drives spinning - nada. I've tried using the on-motherboard boot button (GA-Z87X-OC if that helps), tried resetting the BIOS by connecting the prongs and still nothing.

Solution
That's a high quality PSU, but the initial symptoms would indicate a faulty PSU. What exactly happens when you press the power button? Do you have any power lights on the motherboard or GPU? Have you stripped the system down to the bare essentials and tried to boot? What I mean by that is remove the GPU and use the onboard GPU and try with each stick of RAM by itself.

I'd like to note that it seems to be giving off constant USB power - regardless of what I press, if the PSU is switched on, the USB devices receive power - i.e. the mouse lights up without any change on whether it is switched on.

Nothing at all. There is an LED that's (always) on, provided the PSU has power. When I press the button, literally nothing happens. There are no fan spins, hard drive spins, attempts to display a picture. It just ignores it.
I'll try doing the bare essentials now.

Oooh - Barebones worked. I guess I've got a faulty part on my hands. I'll start re-installing bits as I go. Really hoping it's not the GPU, but fearing it will be :/
