Hi, I was playing PlanetSide 2 MMO FPS game yesterday and I think it screwed up my PC. It wasn't the first time I played the game, but yesterday when I did, my PC got suddenly switched off. I thought it was overheating problem. So I switched off my UPS and after a minute i switched it ON again, but my PC wasnt getting powered up when I pressed the Power button. I opened the cabinet and saw that the green led of the motherboard was still lit. Did my PSU fail?
I was using a low quality PSU named Odyssis 450W. Here is the link for the psu:
http://shopping.rediff.com/product/odyssey-450w-power-supply/11476973
If it is my PSU, can I get some suggestions to buy a better quality PSU? this is my config:
Core i5-760 2.8ghz
4GB DDR3 RAM
Intel DH55TC motherboard
GTX 750Ti 2GB GPU
I think 450W was enough to support this mid range config. So what could have gone wrong? Why did my PSU fail?
I shortlisted Cosair VS450W psu to buy.
