Hi, I am building an Intel based PC for my gaming, web browsing and entertainment needs.

Here is my first choice for overclockable Intel config

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z87M-D3H LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

And my second non k option is
CPU: Intel Core i5-4570
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
Motherboard: MSI B85-G41 PC Mate ATX LGA1150

Now before I buy anything I want to be clear about legitimate prices of these components in Indian market. So far I've tried checking price difference between these two config and it was baffling. The thing I want to be clear on is that if I go with core i5 k instead of non k processor, will the price difference be worth it?
I'm asking in accordance to the Indian market, where PC components are charged at premium rates even before you mention the name of any decent hardware or spell out "Cor......"

The power supply that I will use is SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply.

Thanks in advance.

I can tell you that the price difference between K and non K parts in the US is about 10% and in the UK it is about 5%. Only you will know whether it's worth it to you as only you know if you will actually overclock the processor or how hard you're willing to push it.

What is the price difference you are finding in India. If it's more than 15-20% personally, I don't think it's worth it. The 4570 is a very capable processor and should serve you well for several years without needing an overclock for gaming purposes. Another option would be to go with the new Devils Canyon chips as they are already slightly faster out of the box anyway but if there is a large price premium to pay in your region then its probably not worth it again....
For most gaming, browsing and entertainment needs, the non k is more than enough. No games require anything more than 3 GHz quad core today for their max settings, and probably not will in the next 2-4 years. Web browsing and streaming are piece of cake for 4570.

Also, you don't need an af cooler with the non k processor so you can spend those saved bucks on 4590, which is even better choice. I'd say go for non k 4590. No need for af cooler.

PS: I'm Indian and don't have af cooler on my old CPU, Core 2 Duo, and its really in the safe zone of temps.
