I have an Asus computer, no disc as it is internally saved to a partition. When I try to boot up to windows it does not so I tried to go into repair and it will not repair problem. I tried system restore to an earlier point and it will not. I also tried booting in safe mode, but it will not....all I get is a menu with f1 or f9 options. Would like to retrieve my pics, docs and files before running a complete restore...what can I do?

Solution
Remove the hard drive and install it in to a different computer as a second drive, then copy your files from it and save them to blank CDs or DVDs. Check each CD or DVD after copying to make sure files copied okay.

Put the drive back in to your PC and run factory recovery.
