Hello everyone,
for the beginning my specs:
CPU: i5 2500K
MB: ASROCK P67 Fatality
GPU: GTX 560Ti
PSU: Corsair TX 750W

I just put new GPU (R9 290) to my PC and It doesnt boot. I have Dr debug error number 97. Ive tried to find answer in the internet for like past 3 hours but didnt find any solution.
What I did:
Plug off baterry
Reset CMOS
Plug off PSU
Tried to switch power buttow w/o battery and PSU plugged in to clear capacitors.
Test GPU (R9 290) on another PC (and it works fine)

All of above didnt work for me so I had to use my previous GPU.

Do you have any idea whats going on or how can I fix it ?
Thanks in advance and have a nice day !

Try moving your video card to another slot and reboot. Also make sure the card is plugged in to the PSU.

debug code 97 is:

Problem related to PCI-E devices. Please re-install PCI-E devices or try installing them in other slots. If the problem still exists, please remove all PCI-E devices or try using another VGA card.

This is from the manual on your motherboard.

So my thought is either you have a bad board or bad video card. Leaning to board because you said you tested in another machine. There is also a slight chance of not enough power going to card from your PSU. Should be enough that is a good PSU but it could be bad?... just some other thoughts.

I bought GTX770 yesterday and it runs perfectly. I had AMD GPU once and Im quite sure I will never buy it again. And one more thing: I have 2 monitors (one is HDMI and second one VGA which is running on DVI cable due to lack of VGA on GPUs for a looong time) and I wasnt able to use VGA one - even on DVI cable on AMD GPU because it had different DVI output. Of course it runs smooth and w/o problems on NVIDIA card so... if you are reading it - you know what to do.
