Hey guys so i have a 5Mbit connection so my download speed should be at least 1mbit, but my download speed wont cross 250kb/sec, btw im downloading from ORIGIN. So i was wondering if port forwarding would help my download speed and if yes how to do it. my router is Thomson st780. I allready logged in, just waiting for your instructions.

Btw. Im pretty newbie about ports and stuff.

Forwarding a port will not help speed. It is for accessing devices from outside you network and is a way of addressing devices. Like an apartment number on top of a street address.

Bow you need to be more specific. You have a mode and some type of router. What is it? what are you connecting? A PC, phone, tablet? How do you know what speed you are getting? What test did you run?

If your ISP says you have a 5mbs speed then you should get something close to that. But you need to provide a lot more info then you have for anyone to help.
