hi there! i'm currently looking at getting a new pc that'll be used for gaming. basically want it to be able to run (not necessarily at ultra) any ps4/xbox one release and have myself covered for a few years with something reasonably high-end. the current spec i'm looking at is

AMD Athlon II 750K 3.4GHz
Nvidia GTX 750 Ti 2GB GDDR5
Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600MHz
Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-DS2 Motherboard
Pulse 600W 12cm Fan Power Supply
Arctic Alpine 64 Pro Heatsink

i'm reasonably tech savvy, just want to make sure anything there isn't under/overshooting! i'm debating going for 16gb of ram, but it seems unnecessary? any thoughts would be great!

yep 16Gb ram are unnecessary for gaming right now, and about your build you would be better with a pentium anniversary than with the athlon keep in mind that this build would play anything on medium to high right now

Yeah 16GB of RAM is unnecessary, you could spend the money on a better GPU.
That PSU is of poor quality too, go for something from Seasonic or XFX. :)
I agree with the post above, the Pentium is a much better chip.
400W is more than enough for that build, too.

i'm shopping form a relatively limited store at the moment, so haven't a ton of variety available to me! unfortunately, the cost increase on intel proc seems a bit much. regarding the psu, they also have
Corsair VS450 450W
Corsair VS550 550W
Corsair VS650 650W
available, would they be notable better quality? would the 450W one there do the job and would there be any benefits on getting the higher wattage? thanks for your help!
