I just finished building it using some new and some old parts. For some reason every time I push the power button the screen just won't even turn on. I made sure like a 100 times that my 4+4 was connected to the motherboard 8-pin. I also tried both my cards and my onboard dvi but none worked. I tried using both ram sticks individually (my ram was approved in the MOBO manual) and also tried some different compatible DIMMs but again didn't work. I'm pretty sure it all comes down to my PSU, but I need someone to approve:

I5 3470
P8z68-v pro/gen3
Gygabite gtx560 SLI
2x4 ddr3 1600mhz corsair vengeance ram
Antec khuler h20 650
Seagate barracuda 500 GB
Antec one case
Thermaltake litepower 700

Which components are old and which are new? Have you successfully used this CPU with this motherboard before? Do you know which BIOS revision your board is running? It needs to be on at least BIOS version 3402 to support the i5 3470.

We have a troubleshooting checklist for this type of problem. You've already done some of the troubleshooting, but if you perform all the steps in the checklist it should help you narrow down what's causing the problem. There's a link to the checklist in my signature.

The PSU, case, GPUs, CPU and HDD were in older builds, and the MOBO is a referbished I got from ebay. I am not sure what BIOS version it is using sadly. Also I just figured out that the red light is the ram memok. I tried using it to troubleshoot but nothing happened. Should I try using alcohol to clean the connectors? Or is there anything else I should try?
