Hey everyone,

So I recently had event viewer open for some other work and noticed something odd. I am getting the kernel power error EVERY time I shut down or sleep. I am having absolutely no problems with the system otherwise hence I wouldn't even noticed if I hadn't 'accidentally' checked event logs! :??:

So when I SHUT DOWN the error is:
The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S5). This can result in reduced resume performance.

And when I SLEEP the error is:
The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S4). This can result in reduced resume performance.

Both have event ID 137.

I have checked my power options and reset them to default but thats not helped.

System specs should be visible just under this.

P.S CPU is not OC, it is at 3.5 Ghz Stock at the moment.

Thanks in advance!

SOunds like nothing to worry about, just making a change to basically turn it off from being active

No worries, I have downgraded to Windows 7 anyway. Was fed up with Windows 8.1.
