I had a vtx3d 7850 and it was horrible, upgraded from Sapphire 7770 GHz Edition.
Fan was loud and it was always running hot.
Performance was ok but can't comment on reliability.
Ended up getting a refund and buying Zotac 660.

I would go with sapphire unless there's a huge price difference. Sapphire is generally a very trusted brand and Sapphire cards are usually better built than VTX3D or Powercolor cards.
