CPU Temeratures - Too High?

I recently build my gaming PC with a i7-4790K with the GTX 770. At first I had a problem - I originally applied too much thermal paste, but later cleaned it all of and started again. I applied the right amount and it ended fine. Also, I originally intended to use the Hyper TX3 EVO to cool my CPU, but one of the legs broke of during installation so I had to resort to using the stock cooler. At the moment, my CPU runs at around 38C @ idle, dropping into the lower 30s quite often, but also rising occasionally into the low 40s (40C - 45C). Is this normal with the stock cooler? At full load, it runs at around 55C (using PRIME95) and reaching 60C to 65C at times. Are these normal temperatures? Or can I improve them by using a 3rd party cooler? If I can, please recommend one and try to keep it below £35 - or if I can get my TX3 fixed, please tell me so. I'm just worried at the moment as I spent so much on it, and I really don't want to wear down the CPU/over-heat my system! Thanks!

The temps are absolutely fine, no problem in them :)
As for the cooler, if you wish to OC, then you'd need an af cooler as stock is good until the CPU is OCed.
And by looking at your budget for cooler, CM Hyper EVO 212 is the only one that comes to my mind, its an excellent cooler! It'd reduce your current temps by 5-10C.
