I have a need for a better router- I have 6 WiFi devices as well as 2 Ethernet connected devices. My home is a mere 920sq ft.

Netis AC1200 offers an affordable option. I use one and it is rock stable.
With 8 devices to connect, you need something that can handle that many devices, and a router for twenty bucks is going to not work well.
