Main Monitor is flickering/fuzzy

Just recently my first monitor in my dual monitor setup is flashing strange colors http://i.minus.com/iE8zAzkwphZgX.jpg

and I either have to shut down or I get this

And this only happens to my main monitor and once I pull out the cord for the monitor my second monitor does the same thing?

Which GPU are you using and what resolution(s) are the monitors?

oh sorry I am running 1080p on main samsung and 1280x1024 on second both recommended settings.
