So i came across this and I had some wild idea of trying to build a laptop with this. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this kind of thing. If it is possible what parts should i get? do i need to get laptop exclusive parts or can i get desktop parts such as a gpu and what not. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

No, you cannot use desktop parts in a laptop. And definitely not a desktop GPU. That looks really really sketchy. Besides laptop parts are expensive, you will do much better to buy pre-built.

Look like the exepnive parts were removed. The problem with laptops is the mobo are designed for the specific case whereas Desktops the mobo and cases are prtty much standard. Alienware is releasing a new 13" model in the near future.
