Hello people of Tom's Hardware!

I bought a new Graphics card for my computer, I installed it and it worked. It runs alot of games flawlessly so I know that it isn't the problem (E.g It runs Skyrim on Ultra and Arma 2 on Very High),

But when I go to run GTA IV It plays perfectly fine for around 10-15 seconds on 60 fps then it drops down to 3-10 fps. I tried turning all the settings down but to no avail. With everything on Low, Shadows off, VSync off and all of the sliders to 1 (for view distance ect) but the same problem occurs.

Can anyone help?

Here are my specs:

AMD A85600k APU
nVidia GTX 760 SC (Super Charged) 2GB GDDR5 Ram
650w PSU
8GB DDR3 Ram

I know it's not the spec of the pc that is the problem, can anyone please help?

Thanks.

GTA IV is a very Power Hungry Game & was a Rushed Badly optimized port, Although still my favorite game of all time. I Think Viking is right that something is getting too hot. I originally played this in late 2008 on a Q6600 & XFX 9800GTX+ & it ran smooth. With my Current system I had to add a bottom fan to blow over the Videocard & VRM's & it solved my Problem.
