I have been looking for the best hardware i can have to make a gaming budget under 700$I choosed high end hardware, as you will see at my PC specs but i am really confused because i don't know which can offer me better performane, a good HDD without SSD or a cheap HDD and a cheap SSD as well?
Before i buy my PC, I asked a developer to tell me how to improve the pc I already had.
He told my not to change the HDD I had (256Gb) but buy a SSD 128Gb.
After some days i decided to build my own pc and not upgrading my old one because I wanted something better.I wanted it to be less than 700$ but the HDD i choosed was 1TB and i had no money left for a SSD.I don't really mind the storage, I need as much performance as possible. What shoud I buy?

SSD won't give you better fps, If you install the OS and a couple of favourite games on there you will notice much faster boot times and load times, I would recommend getting a hard drive and an SSD. Your budget is fairly good to get a good PC and I would recommend (if your budget allows it) A western digital caviar blue 1TB and a Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD, if you can afford it though. If your budget doesn't agree then just buy the caviar blue 1TB so you can get everything on there no problem

I will never again build without a SSD for the "C" drive. Everything you do is so much quicker.

A ssd is50x faster than a velociraptor in random I/o which is what the os does mostly.
It is 3x faster in sequential.
A 120gb ssd is minimum and will hold the os and a handful of games. 240g and you may never need a hard drive at all. I don't. It is easy to add a hard drive later if you will store large files such as videos.
Look to Samsung evo for reliability at a decent price.

in BIOS menu the SATA mode is set to IDE (like every HDD) but the way memory is stored can be a bit changed by setting it to AHCI.IDE mode is by western digital and AHCI is by Intel. If tou want to hange it and not lose your information and your OS set IDE and AHCI values to 0 on regedit (Registry Editor) and the pc will automatically reboot.when it reboots set the mode to AHCI and you will boot normally. Then the pc will rebbot again and no information is lost.

since amd cpus have more cores and games like crysis 3 need lots of cores, an 8 core cpu would be good, wouldnt it?but intel cpus are powerful though
