Have a HP TouchSmart 520-1020 that I downloaded the latest BIOS update from the HP site and ran it. The update began normally but then the screen went black and then beeped 8 times. Now when powering on the unit, i get no video, no BIOS screen, No HP logo and 8 beeps. The 8 beeps would normally indicate bad video memory but all was working fine before the update. Have already reset the BIOS to defaults. Still nothing. Anyone have ideas on how to recover the ROM?
