I'm going to build a gaming PC and I don't know if buying an SSD is worth it. I know that buying one will decrease the amount of time it takes to load a game but I don't know if it's worth the extra money. Does it really make that much of a difference?
I see on pcpartpicker.com that there are different SSD capacities. The most common capacity seems to be 120GB but I wouldn't want to waste money on something that I don't need. If buying an SSD is worth it, should I buy a 120GB or go lower for less money?

Solution
Depends on the rest of the build and your budget.
Once you experience a SSD, it will begin to annoy you when you use a pc with a normal hard drive. You OS is snappy and boot times is reduced.
You can micromanage on a 120GB. 250GB prices are falling as well.
It will basically depends on your needs.
For me personally 128GB and a 500GB HDD is enough for me.

Good brands to consider:
Crucial MX100, Samsung 840 Pro, 840 EVO or 850 Pro.

NEVER go lower than 120gb the hard drive will fill to quickly. The ssd can help with moving big files, rendering, editing, faster load time and in game, and for overall responsiveness. I would suggest the samsung evo 120gb its the fastest ssd with plenty of storage for 80$ or the 250gb for 130$.
