I copied my clone to another Hard drive. booted up, typed password, it cmae up with a screen that said updating DESKTOP, then went to a blank screen with "build7601 not GENUINE copy" As I have the original DVD & KEY sticker how do show Microsoft that I have GENUINE copy as there is no where to input that info on the blank screen that is frozen. I do not want to reinstall as I don't want to loose all my updates and the SP! install that is why I cloned it. any Ideas how I can run my clone and activate or change the Key. Thanks DAN danvidman

When booting up boot into the OS with Safe Boot and Networking, this should let you use Windows normally, from there you can go to control panel and activate Windows. If your activation is declined, call Microsoft on their toll free line, explain the situation and they should give you manual activation. Hope this helps :)
